Victrola

Landing Page and Digital Marketing for a client.

Victrola was chosen as the client used to execute a full-funnel project on at the end of the Power Digital Marketing internship. The goal was to launch a campaign to promote the 20% off sale with the respect of the global pandemic. Social ads, GDN ads, email marketing and a landing page were designed in order to fulfill the digital marketing requested for their future campaigns.

Problem

Victrola vinyl players and stereos have been around for quite some time, in fact, the brand is known as the “classic”. Yet that label of being classic is even outdated as the demographic buyers are currently millennials and younger folks with old souls trying to recreate a feeling of living in the old with the new. How does one market to a younger audience with an outdated brand system?

What angle can we approach in our future marketing campaigns in order to attract the target audience?

Crosley

Known for having a bluetooth function which is convenient for millennials, yet lacks clear sound quality at higher volumes. There is a range of exterior designs from retro to sleek.

Audio Technica

Known to be easy to use and therefore for beginners. Their turntables have okay sound quality but their products have a sleek design and are meant to last. Some models have a USB feature and some do not.

Fluance

This product comes with auto stop which is a plus. The exterior of these designs are not as attractive and the price is on the higher side for having nothing special about it.

Victrola Research

Victrola does have the upper hand by being the most reliable brand since it has been around for so long. People enjoy the variety of features these vinyl records come with including bluetooth, radio, CD, cassette and of course, a record. It is affordable and the exterior is nostalgic to the 60s, which draws an attraction for the music player as well as to feature in the interior of someone’s home.
